I made the decision not long ago to crack down and lose weight. My total goal is 135lbs, until that goal has been reached, the current small goal is 25lbs. Keep up with progress here!

Weight Loss

I’m looking to lose weight, and a lot of it. During the past three weeks I have kept informing my followers about how much I have lost, and during the week, showing my progress and what I’ve been doing. I keep getting a lot of the same questions, so I will post them here, along with ones I think people might be curious about.

▷ You want to lose 125lbs? Why so much?

I know 125lbs may seem like a lot to someone who weighs even 200lbs, but I am a morbidly obese person, that was approaching a number that I didn’t want to ever see happen. 120lbs will, honestly, still keep me overweight. I am not a 160lbs person to looking to lose a few pounds.

▷ How are you losing this weight so far? Tips?

I don’t have tips for anyone because I’ve realized everyone is different. What works for me, may not work for others.

Honestly, I’m not doing anything special. I use a site called MyFitnessPal, where I track what I’m eating everyday, and the exercise I’m getting. They give me the amount of calories, carbs, fat, etc. that I should eat, so I have listened to them so far, and so far, it has worked.

I have added in exercise as well, of course. Before, I wouldn’t care about how many calories I was consuming. I assumed I didn’t eat much, so it wasn’t that bad. But I was wrong, that’s for sure. I wouldn’t move much either.

Don’t get me wrong! While I pay attention to what I’m eating and how much, I don’t even try to cut out what I love. I still eat pizza, and pasta, and fast food, and chips. I just don’t eat what my day can’t handle.

▷ What exercises do you do?

Nothing special at the moment. I walk on my treadmill, for 30-40 minutes. I have used an exercise bike, for about 40 minutes or so. I have a bike that I ride outside. I lift 10lbs dumbbells at the moment. Really, if you don’t have these things, a shake weight at Walmart is $20 and it works. And you can use your body to exercise. Just look it up! Sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks. Buy a jump rope.

▷ What motivated you to do this?

I have a page of things that I think of when I need motivation. I was talking to my boyfriend Pj one day, listing all of these things and more, and said over and over I really wanted to lose weight. Then it hit me, I had been saying this for years, ever since I gained weight. And I decided to do it, since then, I’ve just stuck to it.

Every weigh-in has me motivated. I want to see the number keep going down. Pj being proud of me. My mother and others saying they can see the difference. My grandparents being proud too, finally. Feeling the looseness of my clothing. So many things have kept me motivated.
