Some people don’t know the difference. Some people think that’s what Tumblr is for. If Tumblr was for reposting another person’s hard work, there wouldn’t be this magical thing call the reblog button.
Don’t know what the reblog button is? WELL! That explains why you’re stealing someone else’s stuff!
On a normal dashboard, on a post, it looks like:
Using Missing E, it might look like:
On the permalink page, it looks like:
Know what it takes to reblog a post?
» Click one of the above “reblog” buttons
» Possibly add tags and commentary
» Click the green post button
Do you know what it takes to repost something?
» Right click image, save it to folder
» Click on a new post
» Add photo/content, description, tags
» Post it
» Possibly get a message from the original poster telling you to remove it
» Out of respect you might actually remove it
» Have to go to your blog and hit the delete button
Which one seems more simple to you? I don’t know. I kind of vote the first one, but that’s just me. Not only is it more simple, it’s more respectful.
I don’t like my stuff being reposted, and it’s the same for pretty much all graphic makers, photographers, writers, etc. here on Tumblr.
Just because this is the internet, this is Tumblr, it doesn’t make it right to take something and post it on another website or your blog without permission (and no, putting on your website or blog that none of it belongs to you does not make it okay). One reason a lot of graphic makers love Tumblr is because of the reblog button; their graphics can get around without getting stolen.
Let us be respectful people here on Tumblr, not jackasses.

Thank you~ <3
I don’t understand the point of people sending hate messages to other people (through any source). Trying to insult them, by calling them ugly names, trying to hurt their feelings by putting them down using one of their insecurities…
Does it honestly make you feel better about yourself to try and hurt someone else? Do you get one compliment for every hate message you send to someone?
If you feel the need to send a hate message to someone, step back for a second and think to yourself…why am I doing this? What’s going to come out of it? Am I going to feel better about myself for hurting someone else?
It’s time to grow up, people. We don’t need to play middle school and high school games, even if we’re still in them.
